Christ, The Lord, is Risen Today.
The older I get the more I believe in the Gospel of Jesus Christ. And on this Easter Sunday I am grateful I know him. More correctly said, I am grateful he knows me and I believe he knows me by name. He has made more of our lives than we could have ever done on our own. We are indebted here in our mortal life and we are indebted for our life to come.

We lost our spare key to the Toyota.
We lost the key to the Toyota on one of our trips this February. We only realized it about a week ago and have thought of every possibility. Needless to say, we can't find it. They are expensive to replace since you have to have a special key that is programmed and then the keyless thingy is pricey too. Ugh!!!

Show Low Little League, circa 1960
Plan to be there: There will be an unvailing of a monument to my Dad and his co-worker, Walter Pew this June. It is for their work in building the original Little League field in Show Low. Dad and Walt used some heavy equipment (which I remember riding on while my dad leveled the field) to make a field and parking for Little League in Show Low. I spent many summers at that site as did so many other people. Boys from Pinetop and Lakeside also played in the Show Low League. I was my dad's score keeper and he always coached my brother, Jeff. We were the Giants. The sound of "hey, batta, batta, batta always brings back memories.
This is one of dad's best teams. I don't remember all of the boys names, but you can see Jeff on the bottom far left. That is Dad on the right and his assistant coach, Pete Lewis.

The Grand Falls
These are water falls on the Little Colorado River. They are NW of Winslow. When you think of the Little Colorado you don't think of this magestic scenery. It was really powerful.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, BODE!
Maybe our keys were in Bode's birthday cake. Don't think so. It was fun to have a little party for Bode here at Grandpa and Grandma's home. We had a couple cousins here for his second birthday. Abbey was here while Tim and Connie moved into their home and Quinn and Parker came up to give Jill a rest and private time to barf.

GRANDMA BEVERLY
Beverly has been sick a good part of this past winter. She has damage from the radiation for her breast cancer and has to use an oxygen tank. She cusses it but it has made her have more energy and she looks alot better. She would enjoy hearing from anyone of you.
I know she doesn't have our keys.

Relief Society: My other Life.
Our Toyota key could be lost in any number of places that my travels around town take me. I have been the Relief Society President for a year now. I have learned to stretch here. And I want to grow more. Heavenly Father is kind. He is also wise. He knows it takes this kind of work to change my heart. It is a gift from him.

Snowflake Qualifier
We have never seen such beautiful weather in Snowflake for this track meet. It was a qualifier and Lee qualified for state in the 100 with a 12.77 and in the 200 with a 27.04. She is hanging in there for a Senior. She is enjoying running.

33 YEARS TOGETHER
Our last trip was to Tucson. David and I have been married for 33 years. We really would like to take a week or two and go somewhere together but for this anniversary it was an overnighter. I love David. To consider that he has protected and provided and guided and loved me for all those years is amazing.
It was icing on the cake to see Pete and Brittany and our granddaughters, Megan and Melanie. To be loved by grandchildren is the sweetest thing. We went to Chucky Cheese. OK, the pizza really isn't as good as the games. But those girls made us laugh!
The desert is full of beautiful flowers. Some of the mountains were just covered with poppies and then the wild purple lupine along the road was just beautiful. We enjoy those little surprizes along the road.
