It's getting harder......

Well.....I just wanted to warn everyone......it is getting harder to hold back the tears. I am ready to let Lee fly. But the reality of what that means is starting to overwhelm me. It does seem like all of the 18.5 years that Lee has been with us. And we are actually ready for this new phase in our lives it still breaks my heart. So if I am a basket case on Thursday night.....you have been forewarned.

Jeremiah's Boys

This is Jeremiah's Priest Quorum from the Lakeside Ward. I know they miss him. They are a little goofy but when I asked them to stand together for a picture to send Jeremiah they just couldn't move fast enough.

Ok, so the mom hasn't quite gotten over the snub for VB player of the year, this has definately taken the sting out of that. Lee deserved these awards and we are proud!

These are great little mommas! They were

as excited to get their babies in the water

and the babies were excited to go. It really is a

good thing to see the love these girls have for their children.

Thanks to everyone for coming to Lee's track meet.

She has mentioned before that she "went to every-

body's meets" (by admission she knows she never

had a choice) but she really was happy that every

one came to this very important meet.

We finished the bathroom. Dad really likes it.

He helped put all the hardware and cabinet on.

It feels so solid and clean.

What do you think? We had to do some revisions. We had the wrong time and changed it from football field to football stadium.

You know.....I could just send this out through email to everyone.......just kidding.

BATHROOM UPDATE

It's coming along! Kevin will finish
all the tile work today. Tomorrow he
will grout it and then we will have the
plumber and electrician come back.
Of course, you can't see but it makes
it look so clean.

He never knew what hit him.

Shane and Jamie Hall were coming home from the state softball tournament and out of nowhere comes a Elk. It entered the highway on the passenger side of the car. It was in a meadow area with no trees. I should say it was dark. The Halls drive an Expedition. Can you imagine if they had been in a smaller car. It was totalled. When it hit the lights of the car went out and they sat there in total darkness. No one hurt....just a bit stiff and sore.

SISTERS, SISTERS, THERE WERE NEVER SUCH DEVOTED SISTERS.

Thank you Heidi and Jill for coming to Lee's track meets. It meant alot to her. And Dad and I enjoyed it, too!

3A East Regional Track Meet 2008

Blue Ridge boys and girls took first in the regional meet. Isn't that so cool? Lee has had the best year running with this group of kids. Alot of kids qualified for state. A couple didn't and it just broke your heart because they gave it everything. Bob London was coach of the year. Our distance runner, Jessica Ryberg was track athlete of the year. Dwight Boyd was field athlete of the year. He is a thrower. Lee had a great day. She won the 100m (12.72) and the 200m (26.14) and her 4x100m won first.

In case you think it looks like Lee coulda/shoulda been track athlete of the year you have to remember that she runs 3 events. Also, I should mention that Jessica shared track athlete of the year with Arona Spader from Snowflake. Arona actually outside qualified or won SEVEN events. She was the girl! Back to Jessica she runs four distance events and most times is the out right winner. The choices were right.

Show Low is doing this right!

Beverly invited us down to the monument shop to see the bronze plaque of dad. This will go on the monument honoring him, Walter Pew and Estelle Hall. Jeff called us on Friday and said that he had seen it and that it brought tears to his eyes. (He also noted that he is looking alot like dad these days.) I have to say that it has that effect. After all these years, it is so sweet to have Dad remembered and honored. I really wonder what he would think.

DAD'S CARPENTER SKILLS ON DISPLAY

This is the exterior wall of the bathroom. Dad had to rip out the entire bottom and rebuild it. He was really pleased with the work he dreamed up in the middle of the night.
The floor under the toilet had to be completely torn out and rebuilt. It is twice as strong. Another idea conceived in the night.
New tub and new floor. Yea!
